Mr Richard Buckle and Miss Johann Bell are the owners of Aberdeen Orthodontics.They are highly experienced Invisalign® providers and have been accredited since 2002. With over 30 years of experience between them, our doctors are the top Invisalign® providers in the area.

Their dedication to excellence has been recognised through the practice’s Diamond Invisalign® Provider designation, which means our Specialist Orthodontists craft over 150 stunning smiles with clear aligners each year.

Mr Buckle and Miss Bell have both completed a Bachelor of Dental Surgery, Vocational Training and various hospital posts. They both joined the Specialist Orthodontic Training Programme at Birmingham and gained a Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons.

In addition, our talented Specialist Orthodontists were awarded Master of Philosophy Degrees in Orthodontics from the University of Birmingham.

Having completed specialist training and a wealth of programmes, they co-owned a specialist practice for many years in Stoke-on-Trent. During this time, much experience was gained in treating both private and NHS patients.

Now, at Aberdeen Orthodontics, they have the skills and expertise to treat even the most complex orthodontic issues with efficiency, comfort and care.

Eilidh Clarihew‍

Orthodontic Therapist

Eilidh is involved in all treatments within the practice, including placement of braces, adjustments, and removal of fixed or Invisalign appliances. Eilidh's role is to treat patients under prescription from our specialist orthodontists. She is involved with all kinds of brace treatments, fixed, removable, twin blocks, Invisalign and retainers.

During a patient's treatment journey, Eilidh makes sure the patient understands the treatment they are receiving and that any questions are answered. She loves to see the difference a new smile can make to someone’s life and the improvements we can make to people's teeth.

Eilidh started as a Qualified dental nurse with Aberdeen Orthodontics in August 2012 whilst also being a private patient of theirs. She went on to achieve her radiography qualification, and orthodontic nursing qualifications before embarking on her orthodontic therapy qualification at Leeds dental institute and qualifying from the royal college of surgeons in London as a Orthodontic Therapist in May 2016.

Away from work, Eilidh looks after her 2 young daughters and has her 3^rd baby due very soon! She is married and spends most of her spare time with her family. She enjoys keeping fit and goes to the gym regularly with her personal trainer. She is also the coach for her daughter's football team.

An interesting fact is that Eilidh completed a triathlon in April 2017.

Katrina Morrow‍

Treatment Coordinator

Katrina is one of the first members of the Aberdeen Orthodontics team our patients meet, as she guides them through their journey to straighter teeth. From initial assessment onwards, Katrina is involved in all aspects of treatment at our practice, including Invisalign and fixed braces.

As a qualified dental nurse and with a wealth of other qualifications and training to her name, perhaps Katrina’s best experience comes from being a previous patient herself; she knows better than anyone what it’s like to wear fixed braces to achieve a straighter smile.
‍
At work, Katrina loves nothing more than seeing patients enjoying a new-found confidence when they complete their treatment. And when not busy perfecting smiles for the Aberdeen community, Katrina keeps busy with church activities, holidays and gardening. If all that weren’t enough, she’s also in the process of buying land to build a house.

Claire Maclean‍

Treatment Coordinator

From a private patient at Aberdeen Orthodontics 13 years ago to completing her dental nurse training and advancing to become our Treatment Coordinator today, Claire has been on both sides of dental practice life. She plays a vital role in supporting all our patients in their treatment journeys, ensuring quality care for everyone that comes to our pratice.

With many patients having wanted to get started on achieving their ideal smile for a long time, Claire enjoys playing an important role in helping their journey begin.
‍
Away from work, Claire has a busy family life with her husband and young son. They love spending time outdoors together and getting together with extended family and friends.

Alison Pitt

Orthodontic Nurse

Every day at work at Aberdeen Orthodontics is different for our Orthodontic nurse, Alison. From assisting our clinicians with routine appointments and new patient assessments, to liaising with our Invisalign patients via the Dental Monitoring app while they’re progressing with their treatment, she is involved with all aspects of practice life.

Alison joined the practice in 2018 as a receptionist and discovered her passion for orthodontics. She completed her Dental Nursing SVQ Level 4, Dental Radiography Certificate, and mastered intraoral scans. Alison is now a qualified orthodontic nurse, holding an NEBDN Certificate in Orthodontic Nursing, showcasing her dedication to exceptional patient care and expertise in the field.

When she’s not at work, Alison likes to spend time with her husband and their Labrador, Basil. Having grown up on a farm, she still has a huge love of animals and adores it when patients chat to her about their pets!

I have found Aberdeen Orthodontics to be exceptionally professional, friendly and efficient whilst undergoing treatment with them over the past 12 months. The thorough consultation, near weekly monitoring and the final result has exceeded expectations. I am thrilled with the result of my teeth and very pleasantly surprised at how easy and pain free the treatment was. One of the big advantages for me was the digital monitoring service which allowed me to make less trips to the orthodontist chair whilst receiving more of my orthodontist’s time and care. When I did visit for an appointment it was always easy (private car park helped), the team were very friendly and my appointment was always on time.
